User story: when Solikyl migrated from the main instance (karrot.world) to another (foodsharing.se) I had to manually archive all places and ask for Nick to “turn off” e-mail notifications for users.
To prevent confusion among group members I sent numerous warnings about the date of migration before and still there was at least one who continued at the old instance trying to restore an archived place.
To make things easier for future migrations we can just have a feature in which we mark the group as migrated, make it inaccessible to group members and maybe even redirect them to the new instance. Whether that should be activated by the instance admin or group members is up for discussion
