I thought about this for the Foodsharing Sweden instance, and that it might make sense for future self-hosted instances to have their own general agreements for users signing up to give their explicit consent. Usually it is called terms and conditions and it’s less of a governance instrument for the organization, and more of a legal safeguard for them. This could also be the case, but I imagine that the governance aspect is more important for communities self-hosting their Karrot instance.
